Can the Hudson Valley pickleballers expect a new indoor court soon? All the signs are pointing to yes!

We've all seen the popularity of pickleball skyrocket across the Hudson Valley. It's the hottest sport currently, but now that it's getting a little colder outside pickleball athletes are scrambling for indoor courts.

Indoor Pickleball Courts Set to Open in the Hudson Valley

In October 2023, we learned that a new indoor Pickleball venue was planning on opening in Poughkeepsie, New York. Over the summer the Christmas Tree Shop location in the South Hills Plaza closed up shop leaving the perfect amount of square footage for 10 indoor pickleball courts and a handful of state-of-the-art golf simulators.

Brian Vigorita, Glen Beram, and Russel Tigges have teamed up to bring Hudson Valley Pickleball & Golf Center in 2024.

We also heard that The Zone at Clemson in Middletown was toying with the idea of indoor courts. They recently held their grand opening on Friday, November 17th, 2023, but no mention of the indoor Pickleball courts on their social media accounts.

There are now rumblings that another indoor pickleball court will be opening up in Poughkeepsie, this time at The Poughkeepsie Galleria.

The Poughkeepsie Galleria shared photos on Facebook of the construction going on within the mall and wrote:

The mention of Laser Tag immediately made me think of Ultra Zone. 90s kids who frequented the Poughkeepsie Galleria know exactly what I'm talking about. However, it was pointed out in the comments that this looks and sounds like it will be a part of Bounce! Sports and Entertainment Center.

The trampoline park will be taking over the old JCPenny location at The Poughkeepsie Galleria and according to the Bounce Poughkeepsie website they will "be growing to 85,000 square feet of space" and will have additional party rooms, attractions, space and" 5 indoor pickleball courts!"
