Hudson Valley Honor Flight Took Place At Stewart Airport on Saturday
I had the privilege of being at one of the Welcome Home events for one of these flights a few years ago. It is a special day for our veterans and their families. Mission #35 for Hudson Valley Honor Flight happened this past Saturday.
Hudson Valley Honor Flight Mission #35 took off Saturday and headed to Washington, D.C., despite the snow in the forecast. Nothing was going to keep a group of honored veterans from visiting Washington, D.C. that day, not even some crummy weather. Mission #35 was a success, and now it is time to look forward to the next flight.
Hudson Valley Honor Flight Mission #36 is planned for Saturday, May 31st, 2025. This time, the departure point and return will be at Westchester County Airport in West Harrison, New York. Every honor flight has three phases.

Hudson Valley Honor Flight is a 501c3 that honors veterans by taking them on a trip to Washington, D.C., free of charge, so that they can spend the day and travel to various war memorials. For some, it is the first trip to their war memorial. The trip always concludes with a hero's welcome home, also something many veterans did not receive when they returned home from war.
