Hudson Valley ‘Behemoth of Horror’ Nominated as One of The Best Haunted Attractions in U.S.

USAToday is at it again with their 10Best List. This time, they're scouring the nation looking for some of the best haunted houses and attractions.

Voting will wrap up on October 21st, 2024, each person gets 1 vote every day and you can vote for any 1 of the 20 nominees.

One of the nominees you can vote for is Pure Terror Scream Park in Monroe, New York. USA Today calls Pure Terror a "behemoth of horror" with its 13 haunted experiences.

They write:

 The bloodthirsty vampires in The Crypt, and the undead climbing from their coffins in Resurrection Cemetery, are brought to life by Pure Terror's Hollywood-caliber sets, cutting-edge special effects, and professional scare actors.

As of Friday, September 27th, 2024, Pure Terror Scream Park is in the # 10 spot. Get those votes in to push Pure Terror to the top!

The World's Longest Haunted Attraction is located in Monroe, NY

Did you know, that since 2015 Pure Terror Scream Park has held the Guinness World Record for World's Longest Overall Walk-Through Haunted Attraction?

In 2023, Pure Terror shared that they were going through the process of making the record-breaking horror trail even longer. Last year, there were 10 attractions, and now there are 13.  Sounds like they made good on that promise.

Pure Terror wrote in July of 2023 "The world’s longest haunted attraction keeps getting longer! Our team has been working around the clock, since November, to bring our customers a terrifying and immersive experience you can’t find anywhere else."

Spooky Season Underway Across the Hudson Valley

We've been seeing more and more homes across the region get in on the early Halloween fun.

The Dellamura Family in Poughkeepsie, New York has lit up their lawn with a creep graveyard for all to enjoy. There's even a selfie spot that used to be part of Pure Terror Scream Park.
