If you're paying attention to Eastdale Village in Poughkeepsie on social media, you'll notice that every so often they're adding a new addition to their community.

The most recent addition to Eastdale Village is the cajun-themed restaurant Barbu.

Barbu brings "bright, bold flavors and energy of New Orleans" to the Hudson Valley with a "welcoming wit and charm." A quick glance at the Barbu Instagram will have you salivating over Boudin balls (Okra fries), Creole Fried Chicken, with mashed potatoes, Grillades and Grits, and my favorite Brûléed Banana Brownie:

Is anyone else starving now?

It looks like a new restaurant will join Barbu in the Eastdale Village line up in the near future.

Who Has The Best Greek Food in the Hudson Valley?

The Hudson Valley has quickly become a foodie's paradise. There are all types of cuisine in every corner of every county in the region.

We're no strangers to Italian food and Mexican restaurants, but I feel like there aren't many authentic Greek restaurants in the area.

However, with that being said, the Greek restaurants we do have in our community are top-notch. I'll take quality over quantity any day.

In Dutchess County, one of the most popular Greek restaurants, which was voted Best in the Hudson Valley 6 years in a row, is Athena Gyro Greek Taverna.

Eastdale Village in Poughkeepsie, New York, announced the addition of a new Athena Gyro Greek Taverna. The new Athena location is a bit smaller than their current locations in LaGrange and Fishkill, taking over the old Reconnect building in Cottage Square. And of course, there's a reason for that. The Eastdale Village Athena location will be "Athena 2 Go."

On social media, they write "We are so thrilled to announce our “soon to be” newest addition to the Athena Gyro Family “Athena 2 Go!!” Where we will offer quick and easy Authentic Greek takeout options!"

Currently, there isn't a set opening date, but keep a close eye on Eastdale Village and Athena Gyro's social media accounts for any updates.
