It is time to dig into the back of your shed, garage, or closet, wherever you have stashed your golf clubs for the winter. The 2025 golf season in New York is officially underway.
Hudson Valley Golf Took to Some Courses This Week for Later Winter Golf
I was not lucky enough to take advantage of the great weather this week but many people I know told me a different story. A few select golf courses open Wednesday in the Hudson Valley. They took advantage of the sun and warm temperature to allow golfers to get in a later winter / early spring round of golf.
One golfer reported to me that Apple Greens Golf Club in Highland had such a great turnout for their opening day Wednesday that he didn't think he was going to find a parking space. No worries he did and he golfed.
With The Master less than a month away golfers in the northeast are itching to get out and get in a round. Many were able to do that on Wednesday. One by one area golf courses will begin to open. I did a bit of research for you to create the list below of courses you can expect to open over the next few weeks.
Hudosn Valley Golf Course That Is Now Open for 2025
Apple Greens Golf Course at 161 South Street in Highland - They are a 27-hole championship public golf course. They have a cafe that is open to the public. Apple Greens also has venues available for parties and weddings. Contact the pro shop for further details.
Stone Dock Golf Course at 12 Stone Dock Road in High Falls is open. They did a soft opening this week and are looking forward to the 2025 season. Stone Dock is a 9-hole course, with a cafe and event space for special occasions.
Hudson Valley Golf Courses Opening This Weekend
Winding Hills Golf Course at 1847 State Route 17K in Montgomery - They are open to the public. Winding Hills is an 18-hole executive golf course that will challenge you while providing a relaxing, picturesque backdrop. Log on for a Tee Time. The Venue at Winding Hills is also booking its Easter Brunch.
Hudson Valley Golf Course Opening Soon but No Opening Date Announced
The Links at Union Vale at 153 North Parliman Road in LaGrangeville - The Links at Union Vale is a premier Hudson Valley golf course that is easily accessible to golfers in Connecticut, New Jersey, and even New York City. The Restaurant at the Link, Harp & Eagle Pub is currently taking reservations for Easter.
New Paltz Golf Course at 215 Huguenot Street in New Paltz - The New Paltz Golf Course is open to the public, and is a fun nine-hole course. The restaurant next door is Maggie Mae's a perfect place for a bite and Maggie's officially opened for 2025 this week.
Wiltwyck Golf Club at 404 Steward Lane in Kingston is the premier family-oriented club offering top-quality golf, pool, tennis, and more that has not opened yet for 2025 but will shortly. The Table at Wiltwyck is open with lots of events happening including a Whiskey & Bourbon Night later this month, March 26th.
