My bum is on...Poughkeepsie?

Coming off the heels of a weekend of laughs with comedy icon Vic DiBitetto in Poughkeepsie, yes, complete with some digs at local drivers and roadways....

Another big name in entertainment, comedy, and MTV fame has been announced as an upcoming performer at a Poughkeepsie-based comedy club.

Tom Green's 90's-2000's Journey

Perhaps it's been a few years since you thought about this particular track, but way back in 1999, Tom Green was breaking records with the Bum Bum Song, which is actually formally titled Lonely Swedish, and in fact the number one downloaded song of the year 25 years ago.

In addition to his musical career, Tom Green (whose legal name is actually Michael Thomas Green), is an actor, writer, director, comedian and podcaster (even receiving multiple nods for kicking off the podcast revolution). You likely remember The Tom Green Show, which ran from 1994-2000, which was then followed by the different late-night Tom Green Show variations. Most notably though, most people equate Tom Green with this quite catchy throwback-track referenced earlier.

Tom Green Brings Home To The Country Tour To Poughkeepsie

I almost did a double take when I first saw the listing on the Laugh It Up Comedy Club's social media. March 2025: Tom Green....TOM GREEN?

For one weekend only, Poughkeepsie will welcome Tom Green to Mahoney's, and the Laugh It Up Comedy Club Stage, for a night of comedy. Shows are scheduled for Friday March 28th and Saturday March 29th at 7pm and 9:30pm both nights. This is an 18+ show, and tickets go on sale on Friday October 11th.

Do you think we'll get Tom to comment on Poughkeepsie drivers and roads? We can only hope.
