The celebration kicked off with a meet and greet at Mount Vernon High School, where students presented Rai with gold medal cookies baked by culinary students. The atmosphere was electric as administrators, council members, and locals gathered to express their gratitude and pride. "It’s good to be celebrated," Rai said, reflecting on the day. "It’s a testament to the hard work I’ve put in and very nostalgic."
The Hall of Fame dedication followed, where Rai was honored alongside other notable alumni like Dick Clark. Acting Superintendent Dr. K.
