Another Hudson Valley New York Discount Store Closed For Good

Another day, another long-standing Hudson Valley store announces their closure. This time, a popular discount shop with quite a few local stores announced they would be closing their doors at this Ulster County location for good, and sadly, they are now officially closed.

Just A Buck and Beyond, Kingston, To Shutter

A social media announcement on Sunday, July 21st came as a surprise to many in Ulster County as popular discount store Just A Buck and Beyond announced their plans to close. After nearly 30 years in business at 264 Plaza Road in Kingston, shared that the store is closing, and EVERYTHING must go, fixtures included.

After 27 years of business in Kingston, Just A Buck has decided to close this location. We are so grateful for the wonderful staff and customers we have met and shared the last 27 years with. We will surely miss you all. Much thanks for all of your support throughout the years, it has been greatly appreciated.

While an official closing date was not posted with the initial announcement, on August 30th, a post on their official Facebook page did indicate that they were closed for good.

Just A Buck did share that all items in the store, while inventory lasts, are $1, however, helium balloons, balloon centerpieces and jumbo balloons are not included in that pricing. They did offer store fixtures for purchase, and during the final few days, had a number of free items as well.

Just A Buck Locations Across the Hudson Valley

The announcement and sentiments that followed regarding the Kingston Just A Buck's closure have reminded many of the news of the former Wappingers Falls location's closure back in 2018, and the New Paltz location not long after in 2019.

Thankfully, the Hudson Valley still has a number of Just A Buck stores that will remain open, including Poughkeepsie, Chester, New Windsor, Pine Bush, and Montgomery.
