Where’s the “Best Foodie City” Located in the Hudson Valley?
Many people have big opinions on where the best place to eat is in the Hudson Valley.
The word "foodie" is used a lot these days and going out to eat has become a whole new social media movement. There are people who live and breathe for food, they plan their day around it, and make a ton of cool social media content that's completely centered around food.
The word is kind of funny LOL...a "foodie" is anyone who loves gourmet dining and someone who enjoys finding new and unique flavors wherever they can find them. It sounds like it can be pretty expensive to be a foodie, but there are a lot of cities and locations that now cater to foodies and they try keep things pretty affordable so foodies will come and dine there.
There's always a list lol a new list has come out about where the "best foodie cities" are in the country. WalletHub was able to figure out the data by looking at the cost of groceries, access to high-quality restaurants, and the number of food festivals in the area. These are all pretty important factors when it comes to being a foodie and deciding where to go.
So, where did New York land on this new list?

Surprisingly, New York was not even in the top 10 on this list. A lot of other cities are really stepping up their game when it comes to being a foodie location. How many places on this list have you been to?

Since we've been talking about the whole country, let's bring it back to our area. There are some great areas in the Hudson Valley to enjoy a delicious meal at. The Hudson Valley has really grown over the past few years and a lot of new spots have opened up. I asked around and these are the best areas to grab a bit in...allegedly LOL:

- Poughkeepsie
- Beacon
- Hyde Park
- Cold Spring
- New Paltz
- Woodstock
- Hudson
- Rhinebeck
I know not all of these are cities, but you get the point. It's not hard to find a good place to eat around here and I'm sure there are a lot more areas that have become foodie approved.
