Fishkill Restaurant Now Closing After Only Three Years
A relatively new restaurant in Fishkill has announced their closure, this weekend, after just three and a half years of operation.
Unfortunately, news such as this, another local business closing their doors seemingly without warning, has become something we hear about far too often these days.
Charlie Brown's Steakhouse, Fishkill, Files For Bankruptcy
Growing up with Fishkill as my hometown, Charlie Brown's Steakhouse just off Route 9 in Fishkill was a popular spot for parties, gatherings and celebrations over the years.
Sadly, during the early days of the COVID pandemic during summer 2020, following a nearly 20-year run, Charlie Brown's filed for bankruptcy, and the Fishkill restaurant shuttered for good.
In early 2021, rumors of a new restaurant and grill to replace the shuttered Charlie Brown's swirled around the area, and not long after, we were introduced to 18 North Grill.

18 North Grill Announces Immediate Closure
As of February 15, 2021, 18 North Grill has been operating out of the former Charlie Brown's Steakhouse location at 18 Westage Drive in Fishkill, serving up a variety of menu items and drinks, and hosting a number of on-site events.
Live music, poker nights, fundraisers in the restaurant, there seemed to be something going on daily at the Fishkill restaurant.
Unfortunately, customers and community members found a surprising announcement shared by the 18 North Grill team on Thursday September 12th:
Just three days out, 18 North Grill has announced their closure, effective Sunday, September 15th, and have encouraged customers to use any gift cards and loyalty points they may have.
Initial reactions were of course shock and surprise, with customers sharing how sad they were, how this was the 'best bar in Fishkill', 'one of our favorite restaurants,' and wishing the owners good luck.
